I recently had a discussion with my mother about little changes. For example, eating veggies in dip, instead of chips. Reducing the amount of mayo you use, maybe eventually cutting it out of certain things. Making changes does not have to be hard. If I went cold turkey on certain things I would, most likely, go insane! Like chocolate. I used to enjoy certain candy bars but I have replaced milk chocolate with dark chocolate. Now, I rarely eat candy bars with the exception of Dove Dark Chocolate bars. There are 5 small pieces to the bar, this allows me to have a piece a day, and be completely satisfied! Trust me, dark satisfies your taste buds! I prefer Dove and Godiva. Hey, what can I say?
Need to use your bagged spinach or other veggies? Saute' them in a tablespoon or two of olive oil. Start the thicker veggies first and season to taste. Easy.
Don't make it hard. Simple changes, then move on to bigger, if you want. I would never recommend taking something completely away from yourself (unless the doctor orders!) This will only set you up for closet eating and gorging yourself with that food! Just watch your portions and how often you eat it!
