I like to dip, dip, and dip! What I don't like is the incredibly awful feeling I have after I choose a creamy, heavy dip and the film it leaves in my mouth. Then the discovery of HUMMUS. Well, let's just say it is very addictive and I have to purchase individual servings! I typically do not do this because the prices are higher but I cannot seem to control myself (yes, I wrote that) with a family size container.
HUMMUS: made from chickpeas which is relatively low in fat. Olive oil is used boosting fat content but contains monounsaturated fat which is heart healthy. It comes in many varieties. I like Classic and Roasted Red Pepper. Try it with Blue Corn Chips or veggies! Great snack (but trust me, stick with small portion containers or the next thing you know.....the family size will be gone and you will be wiping the corners of your mouth!!) Don't say I didn't warn you! Enjoy in moderation - nothing is good for you if you OVER EAT!
